Book Love by Debbie Tung

Bookworms rejoice! These charming comics capture exactly what it feels like to be head-over-heels for hardcovers. And paperbacks! And ebooks! And bookstores! And libraries!

Book Love is a gift book of comics tailor-made for tea-sipping, spine-sniffing, book-hoarding bibliophiles. Debbie Tung’s comics are humorous and instantly recognizable—making readers laugh while precisely conveying the thoughts and habits of book nerds. Book Love is the ideal gift to let a book lover know they’re understood and appreciated.

Book Love is one of the most relatable books I have read. It is both an autobiography and a tribute to book lovers everywhere. It consisted of scenarios every bookworm has encountered several times in their lives. Who else but an ardent book lover can understand that movie tie-in covers are the bane of my existence or that it takes serious friend credentials for me to even let someone borrow a single book. Don't even get me started on book sniffing, I mean, whoever can successfully bottle the scent of books should win the FiFi Award.

Majority of the scenes were amusing. Many had uplifting messages. Some were repetitive. Overall, it was very entertaining.

This is not only a book for book lovers but for people close to them so they could understand all the quirks and troubles a book nerd goes through just for books.

P.S.

I received a copy of Book Love  from Andrews McMeel Publishing  via NetGalley in exchange for a fair and honest review.
